This portrait is in loving memory of my sister Judy who sadly lost her life to breast cancer in 2017. Today she would have been 64 years old. This painting was from our celebration of her life while yet she was still with us and we, her family and friends, celebrated her as a Queen for a day. A Royal party was thrown with gifts and money bestowed at her feet. With the $ given, she was able to see the Ocean one last time. The following is a poem by her husband which best portrayed his Queen:
Born in the Spring like a human flower,
Judy brightened her world with her colorful presence.
Whether daughter, sister, cousin, friend, aunt,
Wife or mother,
She faithfully bloomed unconditional love.
Let memories of her be on stems,
Bound in a bouquet,
So they may forever speak in
Whispered cheer.
